I made a couple of things for Chic Girl...
A stuffed button heart covered with vintage mother-of-pearl buttons from both of her Grandmothers button boxes:
An oversized pencil case made with some of the Liberty fabric I was given on Mothers day
here is the bee fabric lining: A large make -up bag, with a fish themed lining:
Thank you so much - yes the square ones are very precious as I only had three, so one has gone onto this heart, another on to my own 'button heart' and one I'm saving just in case Lanky Boy ('s wife*) ever wants a button heart!
* No wife in sight as as yet - but maybe one day.....
I bet she was pleased with her presents, they are wonderful. I love the fabric you used for the pencil case, etc...It looks much better than in the shop.
I like to sew and make things.
I am married to the wonderful 'Himself'. We have two gorgeous children, both adults: Our beautiful 'Chic Girl' and our handsome 'Lanky Boy'. Chic Girl is married to the lovely 'Whizz Kid'. They now have two gorgeous children: the adorable 'Miss E' & cute 'Miss R'.
Oh that heart is gorgeous - the vintage buttons mean that it's even more special. Love the little square one.
